Prior to establishing Chisca Mirawati, Kanya & Partners (CMKP Law), Chisca had been active in banking industry from 1991 to December 2018, with her last position as Director of Compliance at a national private bank. In 2019, Chisca served as Director of Legal & Compliance at a peer to peer lending company registered with the OJK (Financial Services Authority), before finally deciding to establish CMKP Law in early 2021.

Chisca started her career in a state-owned bank, then continued her career in foreign bank and national private bank. During her career in banking, Chisca was responsible to ensure that every aspect of business activities of the bank comply with prevailing laws and regulations. During her service as Compliance Director, Chisca handled and was directly involved in overcoming legal issues, policy & procedure making process, digital banking retaliated matters, implementing anti-money laundering and terrorism financing prevention, implementing risk management, handling non-performing loans, restructuring (loan & corporate), bank new products and activities, merger and acquisition, derivative transactions, issuance of securities and other corporate actions, employment, as well as actively communicating and fostering good relations with regulators, particularly OJK and Bank Indonesia.

In addition, Chisca also understands basic principles of carbon credit business model, blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem. On several occasions, Chisca facilitates/speaks on topics related to Governance, Risk, and Compliance.

Profile

Arum Kanya has nearly 12 years of experience in the area of power plant and forestry, particularly reclamation, forest rehabilitation and carbon. At the beginning of her career, Arum worked in a reputable law firm for 4 years, then joined IBRA (National Bank Restructuring Agency) for 2 years, and 6 years in an oil contractor company. Subsequently, Arum worked in the area of power plant and forestry until she entered the retirement preparation period at the end of 2019.

At the end of her tenure as Forestry Division Head, in addition to law, Arum was responsible for the company’s operational activities in the forestry sector. During her career in various industries, Arum handled numerous legal aspects of companies, including merger and acquisition, liquidation, establishment and licensing of companies.

Additionally, Arum is also experienced in capital market and corporate restructuring. Arum was actively involved in rehabilitation, forest and carbon reclamation activities in South and Central Kalimantan, as well as in power plant projects in Central Java and South Kalimantan. Arum has an advocacy license issued by Peradi since 2018.

Having initially worked in the hospitality industry (Dubai, UAE), Roosmaya likely gained valuable insights into managing employee relations, recruitment processes, and other HR functions. Her transition to the foreign banking sector, with a specialization in employee and industrial relations, further demonstrates her adaptability and expertise. The experience she gained during her assignment in West Africa adds to her well-rounded background in this field.
